Yin yoga invites you to slow down and deeply release tension, focusing on the body's connective tissues, particularly the hips and lower spine. By holding poses for extended periods, this practice allows you to gently unwind, improve flexibility, and create space within the body. While it may seem passive, it's a mental and physical challenge, encouraging deep surrender and the letting go of built-up tension. Props are used to support the body, helping you fully relax and restore. Rooted in pranayama breathwork, this practice calms the nervous system, allowing you to move into stillness and release energy blockages. Drawing on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin yoga balances the body's meridians and enhances joint health and emotional wellbeing. The class culminates in a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra, guiding you into a state of profound relaxation and integration, leaving you nurtured, grounded, and fully restored.
